SpaceX Deploys 29 Starlink Satellites via Falcon 9 Launch

SpaceX successfully launched 29 Starlink satellites into orbit as part of its growing broadband internet constellation, marking a strong start to the month of March. The mission, known as Starlink 10-41, lifted off late Sunday night from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

A Nighttime Launch with Favorable Conditions

The Falcon 9 rocket carrying the payload launched at precisely 9:56:40 p.m. EST (0256:40 UTC), with a 90 percent chance of favorable weather conditions as forecasted by the 45th Weather Squadron. The mission followed a north-easterly trajectory, shifting from a run of south-easterly trajectories that had dominated SpaceX launches for the past four months.

This mission represents the company’s 22nd launch of the year, continuing SpaceX's efforts to expand its satellite constellation in low Earth orbit.

Reusability Milestone for Falcon 9 Booster

The Falcon 9 first stage booster used in this mission, identified as B1078, achieved a significant milestone by completing its 26th flight. This booster had previously supported notable missions, including Crew-6, Nusantara Lima, and USSF-124.

In a demonstration of SpaceX's commitment to reusability, less than 8.5 minutes after liftoff, B1078 successfully landed on the droneship "Just Read the Instructions", stationed in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of South Carolina. This marked the 152nd landing for this specific recovery vessel and brought SpaceX’s total booster landings to an impressive 580.

This mission follows a Sunday morning launch in which SpaceX deployed 25 satellites, bringing the total number of Starlink satellites launched in 2026 to 566. As SpaceX continues its rapid-fire launches, its efforts are cementing Starlink as a key player in global broadband connectivity.

With this latest successful deployment, SpaceX advances its goal of expanding internet access to underserved regions worldwide while showcasing innovative strides in reusable rocket technology.
