FreeCast shares jump 170% after Starlink reseller deal

FreeCast Inc. (NASDAQ:CAST) shares surged 170% on Thursday after the company said it had secured a reseller agreement to offer Starlink Business satellite broadband services alongside its existing media and technology offerings.

The arrangement allows FreeCast to market enterprise-grade Starlink Business connectivity as part of its broader lineup of streaming media aggregation, distribution and Platform-as-a-Service products. The company said the agreement expands its addressable market by combining broadband access with digital content, advertising and streaming services in a single offering.

FreeCast said the partnership is aimed at organizations looking for both reliable connectivity and digital media tools through one platform. Management said the deal opens the door to bundled services for commercial, institutional and community-focused customers.

Target markets

The company said it plans to pursue customers in sectors where broadband and digital content services increasingly overlap. Those potential customers include multifamily residential communities, student housing providers, hotels, healthcare networks, senior living facilities and organizations operating in rural or underserved regions.

FreeCast said the combination of Starlink’s satellite infrastructure and its own software platform is expected to broaden its reach across those markets.

Bundled services

According to the company, organizations using the combined offering may also gain access to white-label streaming television platforms, local and regional content aggregation, community information channels, subscription management systems and digital advertising capabilities.

Chief Executive Officer William Mobley said the agreement reflects a different approach to how broadband and content services are delivered.

"Connectivity and content have historically been delivered separately", said William Mobley, Chief Executive Officer of FreeCast. "This relationship allows FreeCast to combine enterprise broadband access with streaming television, local content, advertising, community engagement, and digital commerce solutions, creating a more comprehensive offering for organizations serving large groups of consumers."

The company said integrating those services could give customers a more streamlined technology solution while also creating additional monetization opportunities.
